Minyan of Comfort (pre-registration required)
. The Minyan of Comfort Practicum is a two session intensive study of the liturgy, nusach and halachot with regard to Mincha/maariv service in a Shiva Home.  Those who show proficiency in leading such a minyan during class practicum will be afforded a certificate of such by the FJMC and Cantors Assembly.  Fluency in the reading of Hebrew is required.

Ziff Museum, Holocaust Museum
Ziff Museum was built in 1936 and is a former synagogoue that housed Miami Beach's first congregation.  It recently underwent a major restoration and is a must see with a guided tour.  Once you are finished at the Ziff Museum the bus driver will take you to the Holocaust Memorial for a short visit that is a memorial to the Holocaust victims including a photo mural, sculpture garden and contemplative dome.

In November 1988 approximately 100 Jewish women, mainly from North America, made a radical decision - they decided to celebrate Rosh Hodesh Kislev in the Women's Section at the Kotel.  Not only did they invoke the wrath of the ultraorthodox men davening at the Kotel, they made history!  Ever since that historic day they have continued to gather every Rosh Hodesh to celebrate.  Cheryl will speak on the evolution of the Women of the Wall organization.
